About art+ist
A marketplace built for independent artists.
art+ist is an online marketplace that connects independent artists directly with collectors and art lovers. We believe that everyone should have access to original, affordable art — and that artists deserve a fair, transparent platform to showcase and sell their work.
Our mission
We're here to make buying and selling art simpler, more personal, and more direct. Unlike traditional galleries that take significant commissions, art+ist lets artists keep control of their pricing, their collections, and their relationships with collectors.
How it works
Artists create a profile, upload their artwork, and set their own prices — for originals, prints, or both. Collectors can browse, search, and discover art, message artists directly, and purchase securely through Stripe. Every transaction is between the artist and the buyer; art+ist simply provides the technology that makes it possible.
For artists
Whether you're an emerging painter, a printmaker, or a digital artist, art+ist gives you a professional space to present your work. You manage your portfolio, your collections, and your pricing. You handle your own sales and shipping. We handle the technology.
For collectors
Discover original artwork and prints from independent artists. Build your own collection, follow your favourite artists, and message them directly about their work. Every purchase supports an independent artist.
Payments and security
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Card details are never stored on our servers — they are encrypted and handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-DSS certified payment provider. Artists receive payments directly to their own Stripe accounts.
