New Artist Guide
Everything you need to know, from creating your account to making your first sale.
Choose your plan
- 1.Start at the registration page and choose between Free Trial, Annual (£60/year) or Monthly (£6/month).
- 2.All three plans give you 14 days of full access with no payment required, so you can try everything first.
- 3.Annual billing saves you two months compared to monthly — best value if you're planning to stay.
- 4.You can change or cancel your plan at any time from My Studio.
Create your profile
- 1.Upload a profile picture and enter your full name and artist name (if different).
- 2.Add your city and country so collectors can discover you by region.
- 3.Write a short biography telling collectors about your practice and inspiration.
- 4.Add your website and social media handles — Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and X.
- 5.Optionally add a third-party notification email (e.g. your printer) so they're alerted when a work is purchased.
Upload your first artwork
- 1.In My Studio, go to the Artworks tab and click Add Artwork.
- 2.Upload your main image and any additional views of the piece.
- 3.Add the title, medium, dimensions, year and style tags.
- 4.Choose whether to offer the original, prints, or both.
- 5.For prints, select the media (Canvas, Matte, Satin or Gloss), sizes and pricing for each, plus postage and an optional white border.
Organise collections
- 1.Go to the Collections tab in My Studio to create a new gallery collection.
- 2.Give it a name, description and cover image.
- 3.Toggle whether each collection is public or private.
Set up Stripe to get paid
- 1.Go to the Payments tab in My Studio and review the Artist Terms of Service.
- 2.Tick the checkbox to accept the terms, then click Connect Stripe Account.
- 3.You'll be taken to Stripe's secure onboarding to enter your bank and business details.
- 4.Once active, payments for your sales go directly to your bank account — art+ist takes no commission.
Choose your subscription
- 1.Your 14-day free trial gives you full access to every feature — no payment required.
- 2.Before the trial ends, go to the Subscription tab in My Studio to choose a monthly or annual plan.
- 3.Annual billing saves you two months compared to monthly.
- 4.You can cancel anytime — your artworks stay live until the end of your billing period.
